Gail was a great host! Alex was wonderful as well they both Responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to our needs/requests. Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful. The house was beautiful the outside view was amazing not to mention that they have a heated pool which came in handy while we was visiting because it was a little cold that night everything very clean and well stocked. We could not have asked for a better location. Overall a wonderful place; we would stay here again easily!

Great location in Oakland Park which provides a jumping off point for exploring and enjoying the Fort Lauderdale area. The house itself was clean and comfortable w/ the backyard undoubtedly the highlight: a spacious patio with multiple seating areas, heated pool and a dock on the intracoastal. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an "oasis" for relaxation.

From the moment we walked through the door, we had entered a slice of paradise. Inviting, comfortable and relaxing, it was as though we had our own private spa experience… for seven whole days. The only thing that might top the beautiful home and wonderful hospitality, were the hosts themselves. Excellent people and exceptional attentiveness makes this paradise a must. This is one of our favorite Airbnb experiences ever!!!

We were traveling to the area on a road trip with my father, who needed to be in FL for four days. For the four days he stayed with his 70+ yr old softball teammates elsewhere, my partner and I stayed here. It was the perfect choice for our needs!

We were able to get some stress-free pool time, knowing we would be the only guests using it. Being able to enjoy the sun and water, without worrying about being around strangers, who may pose a health risk to my father, was precisely why we booked our stay here.

In addition to the beautiful outdoor spaces, the bonuses of our stay here were: having free off-street parking, both a soaker tub with jets AND a wonderful rain shower (also with multiple jets), and a very lovely and comfortable home to enjoy. My boyfriend also loved being able to work from home, pool-side, instead of in a home office for a number of days.

If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, definitely consider staying here!

My wife and I stayed here for the entire month of February with our two dogs. It was our first extended vacation as retired "snowbirds" and we could not have picked a better place to enjoy South Florida's warm weather, sunshine and attractions.

Gail's home was spotless inside and out. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped and the house was beautifully furnished and decorated. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in a friendly neighborhood, it has several good restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance and the beach is only about a mile and half away. If you want to enjoy the nightlife on Los Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale Blvd., or in Fort Lauderdale by the Sea, you're just a short drive away.

The real attraction for us, however, was the backyard. Whether you're sitting by the heated pool, in the furnished cabana, or next to the dock, you have exceptional views, day and night, of the calming Middle River and its local birds and wildlife, all accented by the home's perfectly manicured landscape.

Billed as "The Oasis on Middle River," this place couldn't be more aptly named. After going on a daytime adventure or following dinner at one of the area's many waterfront restaurants, it was always a pleasure to come back to the house, sit by the water and soak in the quiet and tropical night air.

We had a great stay, the property is truly an oasis, with tasteful decor and beautiful landscaping. The home was impeccably clean, inviting, the beds comfortable, and fresh flowers awaited our arrival. Gail and Alex are wonderful hosts, accommodating, helpful and very responsive. Thanks to them, we discovered a great French cuisine restaurant, Rendezvous Cafe, within walking distance, and we became regulars during our stay. It became our daily ritual to take a walk to the cafe, sit on their charming patio, where our Maltese was always welcome, and enjoy a great meal and friendly service (we probably got to try most of the dishes on their menu and were consistently impressed).

The home is beautiful, so peaceful and well appointed, and it made for the perfect escape. My husband and boys enjoyed fishing right off the deck, they even caught dinner one day. We spotted a manatee swimming by, and a couple of iguanas soaking in the sun, to my kids' delight. We spent a lot of time on the patio and by the pool, just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful waterway views. No detail was lost on us, we had a great stay and will definitely be back!

Beautiful place in a good location. As expected the outdoor area was what really made the space special. Gail was a very accommodating host, when we asked if she had a deck of cards she came back from the store with multiple games for us. Full privacy is given, don’t worry that she lives upstairs, it’s almost like she doesn’t

The warm pool , lovely patio and privacy were key to our enjoyment. The spaciousness of the house was perfect for our family get together and holiday. Our hosts were lovely and most responsive to our needs.

The pool and the canal setting were amazing. We spent as much time outside as possible. We enjoyed EDventure and Flamingo Garden. We will return and enjoy Gail’s beautiful home and backyard. She was a wonderful host.
